Club competitions are held on the first Tuesday of the month starting in September and running thru April. These competitions are judged by members of other Camera Clubs in our area. Winners from these competitions are sent to CACCA for Inter-Club competitions. The CACCA Inter-Club Competitions are held at 333 Thomas, Arlington Heights, IL. Competition can be done in print or with a digital image (DPI).
Digital images are often referred to as DPI. All DPIs must be submitted by the Sunday before the competition in the proper format. Submittals must follow specific size and naming requirements. Click for DPI preparation information All entries are to be emailed firstname.lastname@example.org.
Print images are judged in four categories, Large Color, Large Monochrome, Small Color and Small Monochrome. Prints submitted in the "Large" categories must be mounted on a 16" x 20" mat board. Prints submitted in the "Small" categories must be mounted on an 11" x 14" mat board. Prints are brought to the Club meeting for submission.
The Club runs a postcard competition once a month. This competition is for fun as well as teaching us to create interesting and appealing postcards. Club Members attending the meeting vote for their favorites. Be sure to watch ClubClicks, our newsletter, for information for this fun way to learn.
