Club competitions are held on the first Tuesday of the month starting in October and running thru April. These competitions are judged by 3 judges: 2 being from area Camera Clubs and one internal judge. Each member in good standing may submit 3 images in each of the five categories: small monochrome, large monochrome, small color, large color and digital projected image (DPI). Winners from these competitions are sent to CACCA for Inter-Club competitions. The CACCA Inter-Club Competitions are held at 333 Thomas, Arlington Heights, IL.
In May, we hold our End of Year competition. This competition has all members vote for their favorite images from those submitted by club members. These images may have been in previous competitions or just images that the submitting member likes. Votes are tallied at this meeting and awards for image winners are announced at our End of Year Awards Banquet. Each member can submit images in all five categories: small monochrome, large monochrome, small color, large color, and DPI.
Digital images are often referred to as DPI. All DPIs must be submitted by the Sunday before the competition in the proper format. Submissions must follow specific size and naming requirements. All DPI entries are emailed to: email@example.com. Click for DPI instructions.pdf
Print images are judged in four categories: small monochrome, large monochrome, small color, and large color. Prints submitted in the "Large" categories must be mounted on a 16" x 20" mat board. Prints submitted in the "Small" categories must be mounted on an 11" x 14" mat board. Prints are brought to the Club meeting for submission. All printed entries must be submitted by 7:15 pm.
Special category competition entries are small color or monochrome images printed and submitted on 11"x 14" boards. Each member may submit 3 images. Special category topics are listed in a subheading under competition. All printed entries must be submitted by 7:15 pm.
